Johnsie Jordan McAlister, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the Citadel Nursing Home in Mooresville. She was born on February 15, 1943, in Mooresville to the late John and Sadie Honeycutt Jordan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie McAlister; sisters, Margaret Dingler and Grace Reep; brother, George Jordan; and grandchildren, Christopher McAlister, Greg McAbee, and Megan Wyrick.

Johnsie worked at Draymore Manufacturing for many years before her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Coble (Steve), Pamela Johnson (Randall), Connie Keller (Randy), Steve McAlister (Denise), and Carolyn Caldwell (Danny); sisters, Dorothy Pruitt, Betty Waugh and Judy Reep; brother, Robert Jordan; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services for Johnsie will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Karriker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Memorial Park.
