Julia Annette Johnson Jurney, 56, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Julia was born on August 16, 1965, in Iredell County and was the daughter of C. O. “Jap” Johnson and the late Betty Horton Johnson. She attended Statesville High School and UNC Charlotte and obtained her teacher’s degree. She worked at the Statesville Auto Action for twenty-one years.
In addition to her father, Julia is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Scott Lynn Jurney, step-mother, Carol H. Johnson; sister, Shelia J. Payne (David); nephews, Zachary Payne and Andrew Payne; step-brother, David Cartner; sisters-in-law, Sheila Freedman and Pam Frazier; and brother-in-law, Danny Jurney. She is also survived by her fur babies, Pablo and Cooper.
A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. William Wease officiating.
