June Lytton Pope, 83, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on June 27, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 19, 1939, to Edwin Woodrow Lytton and Bonnie Faye Privette Lytton.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Faye; her first husband and the father of her children, Jimmie C. Dellinger; second husband, Boyce Glenn Pope; brothers, Edwin Bern Lytton and Gary Douglas Lytton; and sister, Cathy Faye Raymer.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jackie Dean Dellinger (Connie); daughter, Vicki Dellinger Rumple; grandchildren, Amy Dellinger Brookins (Aaron) and Joshua David Rumple; a host of nieces and nephews; and her fur babies, Tassi and Chia.

June graduated Scotts High School as part of the Class of 1957. She previously worked for Hoechst-Celanese for 30-plus years. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren, cooking, reading, and working in her flower gardens.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2306 Buffalo Shoals Road, with Pastor Beau Mills officiating. She will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. to the funeral hour. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, June 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church and other times at her home.

Acting as pallbearers are nephews, Dana Lytton, Lynn Lytton, Don Anderson, Joe Anderson, grandson-in-law Aaron Brookins, and family friend Jeff Privette.
