Magdalene Carol Campbell Gonzales, 59, of Olin, N.C., passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at her home after a period of declining health issues. She was a resident of Iredell County.

Magdalene was born October 21, 1962, to the late James and Mary Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn McGuire, and her niece, Jackie Maria Parsons.

Mrs. Gonzalez worked many jobs which included sewing factories, nursing homes, and restaurants. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she was the life of the party. She loved all of her nieces and nephews dearly. She was a ray of sunshine on someone’s cloudy day.

In 2009, she met the love of her life, Armando Moreno. They had 13 amazing years together. Also, surviving are her three sisters, Rachel Torres (Arnulfo) of Yadkinville, N.C., Sheila Campbell (Mike) of Union Grove, N.C., and Joyce Pack (Calvin) of Virginia. She had several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, whom she loved greatly.

On Wednesday, March 23, a visitation for Magdalene will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 24, at 12 noon at Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville. Magdalene will be laid to rest in Iredell Memorial Park.
