Marcus Roger Troutman, 45, of Troutman, N.C., passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at Atrium Health in Charlotte.
Mr. Troutman was born September 24, 1976, the son of the late Thomas Troutman and Gail Rogers Troutman. He attended Iredell County Schools, Vintage Bible College and Mitchell Community College. He was a faithful member of Mountain Road Baptist Church.
Marcus was a stock manager with Lowe’s and former pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Mocksville. On August 31, 1995, he married his beloved wife, Trina Kyles Troutman. Marcus loved entertaining; he was always the comedian and never met a stranger. He found great joy in helping other people.
In addition to his wife Trina, Marcus is survived by his brother, Bradley Troutman (Lisa); his nephew, Austin Troutman; his aunt, Sue Rogers; his mother and father-in-law, Larry and Cindy Kyles; his cousins, Lisa and Gary Estes, and Brent and Delaina Rogers; numerous beloved family members; and his precious pets, Sonny and Cam.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 12 noon at Mountain Road Baptist Church, Reverend James Fox will officiate. The family will visit with friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial will follow the funeral service at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
Those wishing to make donations in memory of Mr. Troutman are asked to consider the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Mountain Road Baptist Church.

Just seen this. I would have attended. I am sorry for the family’s loss. I seen him about 2 months ago, and we had a long talk. I wish I would have went by and seen him. He told me he was okay, but I didn’t realize he was so sick. My prayers go out to the family.
