Rachel Ann Bonney, 83, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville. Born March 28, 1939, in St. Paul, Minn., she was a daughter of the late Richard F. and Frances Bradbury Bonney.

Ms. Bonney was a retired Professor having taught Anthropology and Sociology at UNC Charlotte. She was a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts, which brought her a lot of joy over the years, as well as a Swim Club.

Ms. Bonney is survived by her daughter, Kimberly B. Perry; sister, Lynn Watland of Minnesota; and three grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 23, 2022, at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville. The family request that guests come with joy, wearing bright colors.
