Rev. Karen “Gale” Frye, 67, of Mooresville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022, after a “short stay” at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 10, 1954, in Mooresville to the late Roy Frye and Addie Lowe Frye.
Rev. Gale was a lifetime resident of Mooresville, where she ministered on WHIP Radio, The Truth is in Jesus, for she loved her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed the outdoors, riding bikes with her dog Janie, camping and hiking. She helped her fellow friends and residents at the Mooresville Manor. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son, Travis Hartsell and wife, Jennifer; sisters, Ann Hood, Tamara King; grandchildren, Porsha Troutman, Zachary Hartsell, Samantha Hartsell, Victoria Hartsell; great-grandchildren, Laci Troutman, Kaidyn Troutman, Kinley Troutman; cousin, Danny Levan; nieces and nephews, George King, Charles King, Margot King, Steven Hood; great-nieces and nephews, Dakota Hood, Sophia Hood, Maggie King and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Mooresville Church of God with Rev. Donnie Wise officiating.
In lieu of cut flowers the family has requested hanging baskets or potted plants in memory of Rev. Gale.

So sad to hear, Gale was a dedicated Esco gang member and life long friend. She is a fine example of inside/outside beauty. One of the kindness people I’ve ever known.
