Robert Franklin Jordan, 76, of Mooresville, N.C., and Charlotte, N.C., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at The Greens Rehabilitation Center in Weaverville, N.C. He was the fifth in a family of eight children born to the late John and Sadie Honeycutt Jordan.

Educated in Iredell County public schools, he graduated high school at Central Piedmont in Charlotte. He served in Vietnam as an Army electrical lineman, and upon returning home, married, had two wonderful daughters, and worked as an electrician. He became an active member of Mint Hill Baptist Church and then Sunset Road Baptist Church in Charlotte until his health deteriorated. He loved Jesus and knew that heaven would be his forever home where he is now completely healed.

Robert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Sam Stewart of Arlington, Va.; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Doug Gross of Belmont, N.C.; grandchildren Patrick Gorman of Madison, Wis., and Peter Gorman of Charlotte; sisters Dorothy Puett of Charlotte, Bettie Waugh and Judy (Dale) Nichols of Mooresville; numerous nephews and nieces; and former wife and devoted friend, Janet Jordan of Charlotte.

Three sisters, Grace Reep and Johnnsie McAlister of Mooresville, and Margaret Dingler of Charlotte, as well as his brother, George Jordan of Mooresville, preceded him in death.

The family extends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the numerous caregivers who have used their talents to minister to Robert.
