Mr. Robert Lee Grant, 63, of Statesville, N.C., entered his heavenly home on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 6, 1958, in Statesville. He was the son of the late James Garfield Grant and Blanche Shirley Church.

Robert married his wife, Georgina Lail Grant, in 1975. He became pastor of New Life Community Baptist Church in 2021.

Robert is survived by his wife, Georgina Grant of Statesville; two sons, James Grant (Shellen) of Statesville and Damon Grant (Krystle) of Lexington; one daughter, Dacia Hodgin (Edward) of Georgia, and seven beautiful grandchildren, all of whom miss him greatly.

A Celebration of Life service for Robert will be held at New Life Community Baptist Church on Saturday, February 5, beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Steve Horton will officiate the service. Mask are required for all attending service in person. Due to limited seating, parking, and those who are sick or have been exposed to any illness, the celebration of life service will be viewable on the New Life Community Baptist Church Facebook page.
