Roland Cook, 74, of Statesville, N.C., died Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Bill Hefner VA Center in Salisbury, N.C.
He was born in Essex County, Mass., on November 21, 1947, to the late William E. Cook and Adrienne Charest Cook. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laurie Williams.
Roland enjoyed old cars, working on lawnmowers, and helping neighbors and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Linda Fairbanks Cook; a daughter, Tina Lambert; two grandchildren, Jessica Lambert and Logan Lambert; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Thiago.
At the request of the family, there are no services scheduled.

Linda, l’m so saddened to learn of your loss. Roland was a kind and caring man. You two made such a wonderful couple. Please know that I am thinking about you and hope your special memories bring you comfort.
He is survived by and will be missed by his brothers Richard, Norman and Donald and his sister Carol and their families. He was preceded in death by his brothers William and Robert. The family cookouts at Grandma’s house and the house on Market Street and tournaments at the archery range will live on in our memories. Rest in peace Uncle Roland.
