Russell Nelson Smith, 73, of Hamptonville, N.C., passed away peacefully in his home on January 5, 2022.

He is survived by his sons, Aaron (Emily) and Shawn (Kristi). He has three wonderful grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla and Cameron. He loved to garden, fish, and was a master plumber.

At his request there will be no funeral services. We love you and will miss you dearly and thanks for being a wonderful dad, father-in-law, and grandpa.
