Stanley Dwayne Shook, 60, of Statesville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 30, 1961, in Siler City, N.C., at Chatham Memorial Hospital to the late Robert Eugene Shook and Letha Mae Cochran Shook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Faye Benge; and a brother, John Edward Shook.

Stanley is survived by two brothers, Jimmy Shook of Statesville, and Ray Shook of Lenoir; a sister, Chery Anderson of Statesville; a son, Robert Shook of Taylorsville; three daughters, Brandy Haigler and husband Jason, Ashley Rogers and husband Jared, and Misty Trantham and husband Ryan, all of Canton; five grandchildren, Elijah Dwayne Shook, Jacob Shook, Lydia Shook, Abagail Hoglen, and Vann Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 2101 Rexford Road, #165W Charlotte, NC 28211.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to the ICU department of Iredell Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care for Stanley and his family.
