Stephanie Jane Arnold Schrock, 48, of Mooresville, N.C., and formerly of Lake in the Hills, Ill., passed away on November 22, 2022, after battling a protracted illness.
She was born on December 28, 1973, in San Antonio, Texas. Stephanie graduated high school from the Beaumont School for Girls while living in Shaker Heights, Ohio. She obtained a degree in Graphic and Web Design from Columbia College Chicago in 2001 and worked in the field for a number of years. After moving to North Carolina with her family, she earned her real estate brokers license and also worked as an early childhood reading tutor at East Mooresville Intermediate School.
In her spare time, Stephanie loved traveling, dancing, and music. After rekindling her passion for the flute, she spent several years playing with the Mooresville Community Orchestra. She was an avid and talented amateur chef, cherished for her soups and pasta sauces. Stephanie was also an animal lover and fostered more than 30 puppies for North Meck Animal Rescue, as well as adopting two dogs of her own, Titus and Tess.
Stephanie is survived by her husband of 20 years, Daniel Schrock; her three children, James, 17, Austin, 12, and Emma, 11; her parents Dr. James and Gail Arnold of Mooresville, N.C.; her brother and his family, David E. Arnold, Paola A. Rengifo, and Benjamin E. Arnold, serving in Mexico City, Mexico.
Stephanie brought a smile to every room she entered and established strong friendships with those around her. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home on December 10 at 4 p.m.
