Steven Allen Dixon, 52, of Jonesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Steve was born on June 30, 1969, in Iredell County, N.C., and was the son of the late Norman Allen Dixon and Margaret Louise Sipes Dixon. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, and he always overcame obstacles. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at Blythe Development.

Steve is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jones Dixon; two daughters, Morgan Latshaw (Hunter) and Jadyn Dixon; son, Cameron Dixon; and two step-sons, Alex Jones (Kaleigh) and Nic Jones (Rebecca). Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Indy Jones and Flynn Jones; two sisters, Barbara Land (Joey) and Kimberly Dixon; and the mother of his children, Alisha Bradburn. He was further survived by numerous nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 24, at Troutman Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m.
