Timothy “Chase” Gatton, 38, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Born in Iredell County on September 9, 1983, he was a son of Pam C. Potts and Dale R Potts (stepfather). In addition to his parents, he is survived by three daughters, Tara Gatton, Hailie Gatton and Emillie Long-Gatton; a brother, Dusty Gatton; and sister, Katie Potts (Daniel Matthews). Also surviving are his grandparents Gary Campbell, Anita Gatton and Wanda Potts.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Judy Campbell, R.C. Gatton and Larry Potts.

Chase was a machine operator at Hexpol. Chase loved the Lord and his family. He also enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, being in the outdoors, tending to his chickens and bees, and working out daily. Chase was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Love never ends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Bunton officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
