William “Bill” Perry Sylvia Jr., 66, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born on November 27, 1955, in New Bedford, Mass., he was the son of the late William Perry Sylvia Sr. and Maria Canto Sylvia.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 27 years, Sandra LaPlante Sylvia; his sons, William Perry Sylvia III and his wife Lee, and Bryan Joseph Sylvia and his wife Erica; grandchildren, Owen Perry and Sylvia, Savannah Sylvia and Aiden Sylvia; sisters, Sandra Tripanier (late husband Alfred), Judith Mello and her husband George, and Linda Sylvia; nieces and nephews, Alfred Tripanier and his wife Cheryl, Jodie Tripanier, Scott Mello and his wife, and Michelle Groves and her husband Bryan; and his four great-nieces and three great-nephews.

A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home.
