Alexander “Alex” Robert Pope, 33, of Terrell, N.C., passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023.

He was born on May 26, 1990, in Davidson County, N.C., to James and Betty Wike Pope. Alex enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and being outdoors. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Cross Creek Hunt Club, and the NC Wildlife Federation. He was an honor graduate with a business degree from Pfeiffer University. He loved his family and spending time with them.

Alex was preceded in death by his sister, Ivey Pope Cline; and cousin, Clay Thomas.

He is survived by his son, Braxton James Pope; parents, James “Jim” and Betty; brother, John Phillip Pope and sister-in-law, Keagan; nephew, Mason Pope; and nieces, Vivian, Kate, and Sophia Cline.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, in the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Chaplain Eddie Karriker officiating.
