Amy Marie Hart, 52, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, N.C., after a long battle with Cervical Cancer.

Amy was Born on March 11, 1971, in Gainesville, Fla., and was the daughter of the late Edward Glover Hart and Mary Lucille Morgan Hart.

Amy’s passion was always for her family first, but she dedicated her entire life to the North Carolina Senior Living community where she served as a State Board Member. She always strived to provide the absolute best care for her residents and employees. Amy’s infectious laughter and smile will be missed immensely by all.

Amy is survived by her husband, Bryan Day; her nephews, Kenneth Wayne Hicks III (Kenny Wayne) and Edward Glover Hicks (Eddy), and Brandon Hicks; stepdaughter, Jamie Perdue (Matt); and her grandchildren, Kole, Coby and Matthew Perdue.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, Kenneth “Kenny” Hicks Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville, with Rev. Bill Hart officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

 In lieu of flowers, Amy requested donations be made to the Saint Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
