Annie Lucille Austin, 97, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Mooresville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born February 16, 1926, in Union County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late William DeBarry Austin and Alma Hargett Austin.

Ms. Austin was a retired caregiver for University Childcare.

She was preceded in death by brother, Harold Austin; and sister, Jessie Puckett.

Ms. Austin is survived by her daughter, Theresa Darnell (Sandy); granddaughter, Felicia Darnell (Drew); great granddaughter, Natalie; niece, Kay Spero (Dominque); nephews, Barry Austin (Connie), Lynn Austin and Don Puckett (Jan); and her precious fur baby, Bailey.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, December 23, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Harris officiating.
