Anthony “Amp” Joel Misenheimer, 54, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He is cruising the streets of heaven pain free after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Anthony was born in Statesville on December 12, 1968, to Ann Hall Misenheimer (“Mama Ann”), who survives, and Thomas W. Misenheimer (“Papa Tom”), who he has joined in heaven.
Anthony attended Statesville Senior High School and North Carolina State University. While battling cancer, he reunited with many of his friends from his high school and college days. Anthony’s family will cherish the stories shared during these visits. Anthony was a good storyteller and kept his sense of humor throughout his battle with cancer.
Anthony most recently worked at Tilley Harley Davidson as their Insurance and Finance Manager, where he made many lifelong friends whom he considered extended family. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved to ride and loved all of the people he met along the way. He was a gentle soul who loved all animals — especially his dogs, Sunny, Share and Izzy, who he will see again in heaven.
Anthony is survived by his mom, Ann Hall Misenheimer; sister, Susan Cavalluzzi (Rich); brothers, Eric (Jeanne) and Vic (Colleen); niece, Abbey; and nephew, Bailey.
The service to celebrate Anthony will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Western Avenue Baptist Church. The receiving of friends and family will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the celebration service starting at 3 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery and will include a motorcycle procession to the burial site.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage a possible donation to Western Avenue Baptist Church, 1206 Museum Road, Statesville, NC 28625, or Victory Junction, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family.
So sorry for the loss. May he rest in peace.
