Bill “Billy” Sisk, 80, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. He was the husband of Dian Sisk and the son of the late William Preston and Virginia Edith Sisk. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, and retired as a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service.

Billy was a member of Catawba United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Hickory High School and Lenoir Rhyne University. He liked hunting Indian artifacts of all kinds and collecting unique seashells and coins. He enjoyed hiking, Westerns, and sports of all kinds, especially UNC sports. Billy dearly loved his family and was loved by all of them.

Billy is survived by his wife, Dian; one daughter, Angela (Eddie) Lanier; one son, Nathan (Angel) Sisk; three grandchildren, Shawn, Samuel, and Skylar Sisk; and one sister, Dottie (Donald) Wyant; one niece, Cindy (Walter) Van Horne and children, Faith and David; and one nephew, Trevor (Ginny) Devine and children, Jack and Zoe’ also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Catawba United Methodist Church cemetery, Catawba, N.C., with Pastor Kim Heetae officiating. The family will speak with friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given in Billy’s name to The Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 or Catawba United Methodist Church, 207 E. Central Avenue, Catawba, NC 28609.
