Brenda Danyels Brackett, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

She was born August 21, 1944, in Chester, S.C., to the late Melvin Harlan Danyels and Myrtle Snipes Danyels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Larry Brackett; brothers, Melvin and Chuck Danyels; and sisters, Oneida Howard and Audrey Bare.

Brenda worked for many years at the Mooresville Tribune as a secretary and in advertising. She and her husband Larry owned and operated Mama’s Table Restaurant and Gospel Supper Club for a number of years.

Brenda is survived by her daughters, Crystal Brackett Merritt (Steve) and Tammy Brackett; grandchildren, Justin Caldwell (Ashley), Jessica Bice, Brittney Henrickson (Korey Poulter), Lindsay Owens (Jesse), and Brandon Henrickson (Ivy); and great-grandchildren, Gentry, Jackson, Cooper, Carter, Solomon, Trinity, Jase, and Cannon.

Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, December 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
