Brenda Holder Gardner, 79 of Troutman, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

Mrs. Gardner was born June 21, 1943, in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Holder and Hattie Brown Holder. Brenda was a graduate of Statesville High School and completed her associate degree as a radiological technologist; yet she made her career working alongside her husband Jim at the family business, Carpet Rentals of Statesville, before retiring.

In addition to her beloved husband, Alfred James Gardner Jr., who passed away January 5, 2023, she was also preceded in death by her son, James Wesley Gardner; four sisters, and two brothers.

Mrs. Gardner is survived by her daughters, Tonya Gardner and Julie Gardner, along with her grandchildren.

A private family service is being planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to make memorials are asked to consider the Gordon Hospice House.
