Brittany Odessa Marie Peace (Thompson), 33, of Steubenville, Ohio, was called home on November 1, 2023. She was born on September 11, 1990, to her mother Angela Zimmerman (Thompson), and Clarence McGee in Steubenville, Ohio.

She worked as an executive housekeeper supervisor at Hilton Garden Inn. Brittany loved to shop, spend time with her children and family, as well as dancing and playing spades. Spending the day reminiscing and laughing was almost a daily ritual for her. At family functions she was always the life of the party.

Brittany, known was “Britt Bratt” to most, had the most beautiful soul and a smile that would light up any room. Her style was unique and bizarre at the same time from walking into Walmart in a Grinch onesie, her hair uncombed sticking on the top of her head to throwing any color shirt with any color pants, a pair of boots, and a black bonnet to the Sunday best. No matter the occasion, she adapted. She also had one of the biggest hearts. To her, no one was unworthy of love, and she shared that love with everyone and everything. She demonstrated the true meaning of unconditional love not only to her children and family but to all.

Brittany had a benevolent nature. She would go above and beyond to help, comfort, provide, and support anyone that needed her regardless to her situation. In her words, “to God be the Glory. It’s going to be alright.” And somehow it was. She would always reach out to others because she truly wanted to make a difference in anyone’s life. Always pushing others to continue to strive for greatness and better and willing to assist in any way whether that meant giving her last dollar or the shirt off her back or staying up all hours of the night just listening.

If she had it, you had it. Brittany was many things to many people, but most importantly she was the glue that held us together. She was fearless, optimistic, affectionate, passionate, devoted, giving, intelligent, strong, hilarious, admirable, trusting, energetic, spiritual, resilient, determined, wild and free, and most of all she was blessed. From day one there was an angelic energy that surrounded her. She had a purpose that we could not understand, but the belief is that she has done what she was meant to do and now she can finally be at peace.

Brittany was preceded in death by her father, Clarence McGee; grandmother, Vivian Rose Thompson (Ennis); and grandfathers, Glenn Thomas Perdue Sr. and Guy Palmeri.

Brittany is survived by her husband.
