Buddy Gene Taylor, 72, of Harmony, N.C., passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023.

Buddy was born in Iredell County on November 17, 1951, and was the son of the late Clyde G. Taylor and Fairy Overcash. Buddy loved fishing, hunting, puzzles, and watching any UNC ball games.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Church, and his step mother Dorothy Taylor.

Those left to cherish the life and memory of Buddy are his siblings, Patsy Bennett, Johnny Taylor (Cheryl), “Buddy” James Redding (Donna), Donna Kimmer (Ronnie) and Tammara McCombs (Charles) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in Union Grove. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. at the church following the visitation. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barnabas Ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, 300 Indian Hill Road, Union Grove, NC 28689.
