Mr. Carl Tee Duncan, 78, was born in Rocky Mount, N.C., on March 14, 1945, to the late Joseph Cottene Duncan and Aileene Wade Duncan. He departed this life on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Carl earned his masters degree and before retiring was Chief Juvenile Court Counselor for the N.C. Department of Justice.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his wife Phyllis Chunn Duncan; three sons, Gary (Raeshay) Duncan of Virginia Beach, Va., Bryan (Pamela) Duncan of Salisbury, N.C., and Joseph Duncan of Salisbury, N.C.; grandchildren, Darius Duncan of Charlotte, N.C., Kalil (Taylor) Duncan of Raleigh, N.C., and Haley Duncan of Norfolk, Va.; sisters-in-law, Barbara Chunn Brown of Greensboro, N.C., and Zettie Chunn Phillips of Charlotte, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
