Carol Wyatt Cashion, 77, of Statesville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Estel Wyatt and Callie Eller Wyatt.

A founding member of Mountain Road Baptist Church, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for JC Penney. She was a graduate of Celeste Henkel High School. She enjoyed quilting and “piddling,” as she liked to say, and worked in “The Good News Club.” She dearly loved her family and her church family as well.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Mama Eller.

Carol is survived by her mother, Callie Wyatt; and four daughters, Lisa Gragg (Barry Corson), Jennifer Waugh (Nick Joyner), Allison (Donald) Luffman, and Sarah (David) Caudill. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Austin (Nick) Reynaldo, Connor Waugh, Ashley Waugh, Jesse Luffman, Mikael Luffman, Kaleigha Luffman, Alexis Caudill, and Adaline Caudill; one great granddaughter, Olivia Reynaldo; and three brothers and three sisters, along with her special nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service for Carol will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Mountain Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Fox officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Carol’s memory to Mountain Road Baptist Church, 132 Compton Park Road, Statesville, NC 28677.
