Carolyn Ann Cass Wilhelm, 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home. Born on February 8, 1950, in Iredell County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Radford Edward Cass and Novella Chatham Cass.

Mrs. Wilhelm was an active member of Grassy Knob Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was cherished by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Radford and Novella Cass, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ren Wilhelm; and her brothers, Thomas Cass and Danny Joe Cass.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Jodi Thompson and her husband Craig, and Renae Hutchens and her husband Wes; grandchildren, Jacob Evans, Kaylee Kiter and her husband Nick, Ezra Hutchens, Brelyn Hutchens, and Eli Hutchens; great-grandchildren, Rowyn Kiter and Colson Kiter; and her siblings, Jan Porter, Charles Cass, Larry Cass, Leon Cass, and Darrell Cass.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Grassy Knob Baptist Church in Union Grove, N.C., with Pastor Scott Chenevey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow the services in Grassy Knob Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers honoring Mrs. Wilhelm will be Ronnie Moore, Jeff Jones, Felix Campbell, Ben Redmond, Steve Cornett and Keith Hall.
