Carolyn “Dawn” Lambert Stutts, 81, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was born on January 7, 1942, in Wake County to the late Homer and Annie Mae Gunnell Lambert.

Dawn was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church and enjoyed crafting, quilting, cooking, sewing, and drawing. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stutts; and grandson, Rickie Stutts.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Crystal Britt (Richard), Jewel Poole (Jeff), and Lane Stutts; brothers, Danny Lambert and Larry Lambert (Barbara); grandchildren, Stacy Hice, Brandon Peeler (Tiffany), Spencer Stutts, Hunter Stutts (Madison), Kyle Britt (Miranda), Haley Barker (Nathaniel), and Drs Brienne Keyloun (John) and Gavin Poole (Brittany Zingaro) and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Pastor Will Gipe officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
