Clyde Jake Moser, 87, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away September 28, 2023, at his home after an extended illness. Clyde was born September 11, 1936, in Alexander County to the late Guy Lynn Moser and Beulah Mae Lackey Moser.
Clyde served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired sheriff’s deputy. He was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Clyde Eugene Moser, James Henry Moser, and Kenneth Bryant Moser; and two brothers, Kenneth Lynn Moser and Richard Carnell Moser.
Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Gary Lynn Moser of Stony Point; three daughters, Claudia Moser Davidson and husband John of Statesville, and Mae Ruth Moser and Marie A. Moser, both of Charlotte; one brother, Henry Malice Moser and wife Felicia of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren, John Davidson Jr., Jasman Moser, LaKeithen Dalton, James Bryant Moser, Clyde Eugene Moser Jr., Chelsea Moser, and Kendyl Ramseur; and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Stony Point. Pastor Jerry Ellis and Pastor Ray Tavenner will officiate. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow with Military Rites.
