David Shane Nance, 46, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

He was born on August 29, 1977, in Mooresville to Freddie Nance. Shane was a graduate of South Iredell High School. He was employed with Davidson College in the maintenance department.

In addition to his father, Freddie Nance, he is survived by his wife, Traci Hannah Nance; children, Deanna Pettit and husband William, and Ethan Adkins; grandson, Lex Pettit; sister, Freda Nance; brothers, Chris Nance and Jamey Nance; and faithful companion, D.O.G.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Norman Humane, 2106 Charlotte Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28117.
