Deborah Cockrell Freeman, 65, of Troutman, N.C, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.

She was born on December 27, 1957, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Bill and Jimmie Campbell Cockrell. Deborah was a member of Abundant Life Foursquare Church in Mooresville. She enjoyed going to church, reading her Bible, cooking, swimming, and the beach. She loved her family and spending time with them.

She is survived by her children, Stevie Freeman Jr. (Misty Goodman), and Jessica Freeman; her beloved seven grandchildren, Nathaniel Goodman, Serenity, Kahlil, and Malachi Freeman, Isaiah, Jacob, and Lillian Gibson; the father of her children, Stevie Freeman Sr.; and cousins, Norma Sissy Crider and Dawn “P-nut” Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with a service following at 12 noon at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Giles officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abundant Life Foursquare Church, 123 Foursquare Road, Mooresville, NC 28115.
