Denise Wojtkowski Podavini, 58, of Sherrills Ford, N.C., passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born on July 22, 1964, in Pittsfield, Mass., to the late John Michael Wojtkowski.

She graduated with honors from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., and was a Certified Management Accountant at Belk, where she worked hard for 12 years. Her will was indomitable, and she proved herself through fighting the hardest battle an individual can face. She enjoyed playing card games and puzzles with those she loved most. She will be missed deeply and serve as a beacon of perseverance for all who knew her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Andrew Coty.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Podavini and Kaitlyn Podavini (Dylan Trimble); partner, Carlos Gonzalez; mother, Margaret Hamilton Wojtkowski; siblings, Pamela Coty, John Jr. Wojtkowski (Jin), Daniel Wojtkowski, Mary Robinson (Steven), Kathleen Hart (Richard), Susan Smith (Timothy), and Shaun Wojtkowski (Debra); numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with a Celebration of life at 4 p.m.
