Donna Theresa Barnes, 72, of Union Grove, N.C., beloved wife of Jerry Lee Barnes, went home to be with her heavenly father on October 3 , 2023. Donna was born April 22, 1951, in Mecklenburg County, N.C., to the late Ellis Vincent Tadlock and Barbara Glover Tadlock.

Donna worked at the Statesville Auto Auction. She was of the Baptist Faith.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, October 6, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home 158 Stony Point School Road, Stony Point, NC 28678 to honor her life. The burial will be private and at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
