Edward Kiltz McElwain Sr., 81, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, at his home.

He was born November 14, 1941, in Kane, Pa., to the late Wilbert Darrell McElwain and Gladys Finniefrock McElwain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Mustane McElwain.

Ed attended St. Therese Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, wood carving, traveling, hunting, fishing, and anything to do with American history. His greatest joy was being with his family and friends. Ed was an accountant with The National Fuel Gas Company for over 30 years before his retirement.

He is survived by his sons, Edward K. McElwain Jr., Robert D. McElwain and wife Lisa, and Brian M. McElwain and wife Megan; and grandchildren, Kaylee, Aiden, and Eli McElwain.

In keeping with Ed’s wishes, no funeral services are planned. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the donor’s choice.
