Gene Thomas Kane, 53, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. He was born on May 17, 1969, in Boonton, N.J., to David Kane and the late Julia Veninsak Kane.

He moved from Lake Hopacong, N.J., 17 years ago to Troutman, N.C. Gene enjoyed rebuilding cars and riding motorcycles. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his aunt, Shirley Conover and husband Bob of Mooresville, N.C.; uncle, Wayne Kane and wife Diane of Kannapolis, N.C.; cousins, Lisa, Kristen, Kimberly, and Andrew; and several friends.

No services will be held at this time.
