Helen Rose LaVinka Money, 92, departed to her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 25, 2023. She was born in Statesville, N.C., where she lived and married her husband of 47 years, Robert Clemer Money.

Helen was the daughter of the late Leo Ramon LaVinka and Edna Huffman Loostrum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four siblings, Betty Ann LaVinka Pounds, Sarah Mae LaVinka Thomas, Mary Lois LaVinka Bredewater, and Leo Robert LaVinka.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Helen was an honorable provider and unselfish caregiver who loved her family, her church, and her Lord with all her heart.

Helen is survived by her two children, Rita Money Carter and Robert Steven Money; four grandchildren, Terra Brooke Carter, Kyle David Carter, Sarah Money Davidson, and Anna Grace Money; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Davidson and Joseph Lopez.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Front Street Baptist Church in Statesville, N.C., with Pastor Tim Stutts presiding. Following the service, the interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville.
