Howard Charles Moyer Jr., 76, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, in his home.
Howard was born on November 23, 1947, in Berrien Springs, Mich., to the late Howard “Herb” Charles Moyer Sr. and Isabelle Yost Moyer. He attended Berrien Springs Schools in Michigan and was employed by Clark Equipment in Michigan and later was transferred to Statesville, N.C.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-eight years, Sharon Josey Moyer; his children, Michele Moyer of Georgia, Mandy Mangione (Bruce) of Georgia, Mark Moyer (Pamela) of Iowa and Kelly Peacock (Craig) of Asheboro, N.C. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Nick, Trevor, Peighton (Joshua), Madison, Bailey, Connor and Julie Anne.
Private family funeral services will be held Sunday at Troutman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Faith Church Cemetery in Statesville.
Although he was fully aware that his illness was incurable, he remained cheerful while bravely facing the long struggle.
