Howard Parker, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at his residence.

He was born on December 23, 1943, in Savannah, Ga., to the late James and Mary Louise Cubbedge Parker. Mr. Parker proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Mooresville. He enjoyed playing baseball, gardening, his pool, and being with his family and puppy Bella.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Felts Parker; children, Crystal Beals (Mark), and Jerry Hartley Jr.; sister, Betty Sheffield (Frederick); grandchildren, Alan, Jordan, Taylor, Caleb, and Alicia; great grandchildren, Abigail, Lucas, and Gabriel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, from 12 to 1 p.m. with a service following at 1 p.m. at First Wesleyan Church Mooresville with Pastor Ron Haithcock officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
