Iola Boston Moose, 95, of Statesville, N.C., died Monday, March 27, 2023. She was born in Catawba County on January 14, 1928, to the late William Jones Boston and Ada Cleo Little Boston.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lovette Moose; five brothers, Henkel Boston, Eugene Boston, JK Boston, Thomas Boston, and Harold Boston; and two sisters, Irene Houston and Rebecca Mellilo.

Iola loved the outdoors and was happiest when she was working in her flower garden. Her favorite flower was the iris, and she also had a Christmas cactus for a number of years. Her home and garden were always meticulously kept.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Sherri King and Terri Drum (Brad); four grandchildren, Beatrice King, Adam Stephenson, Sean Stephenson, and Tonya Stephenson; and two sisters, Delois Harris and Peggy Taylor.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
