Jack Amos Hittle, 79, passed away Thursday, April, 27, 2023.
Jack was born in Buchanan, Mich., to the late Amos Hittle and Donna May Hittle on October 27, 1943. He graduated from Buchanan High School. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife Betty have been married for 53 years. Jack loved music and dancing. He was also an animal lover and adored his dog Dolly. Jack was known as “the pumpkin roll man” for the pumpkin rolls he would make. He worked as a machine operator for Clark Equipment for over 30 years. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He loved his church and his church family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Colleen Six.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hittle; son, Mark Hittle (Amy); daughter, Rebecca Hittle (Shane Campbell); sister, Betty Lou Vanderboegh; and grandchildren, Mikayla, Jacob, Maguire, and Reagin.
A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Flack officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Shane Campbell, Jacob Hittle, John Matheson, Maguire Hittle, Paul Tilden, and Tim Roseman.
