James “Jamie” Monroe Allen, 56, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He was born on September 22, 1966, in Flint, Mich., to Carolyn Johnson Allen and the late Tony Wayne Allen Sr.

Jamie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gambling. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Allen; mother of his children, Mendy Faulkenberry; and brothers, Clyde Eugene Allen and Robert Franklin Allen.

In addition to his mother, Carolyn, he is survived by his daughters, Heather Allen of Ft. Worth, Texas, Misty Allen of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Christian Francett and husband Donnie of London, Ky.; sister, Neva Allen of Mooresville; brothers, Tony Wayne Allen Jr. and wife Laura of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Michael George Allen of Mooresville; grandchildren, Kapree and Kanyah Waldrup, and Brooklyn, Meghan, Jacob and Asher Francett; great grandchildren, Aurora Dawn and Elijah Swanson; special friend, Corey Alley and wife Dawn; and caregivers, Jessica Waugh, Jay Allen, and Justin Bartholow.

A memorial service celebrating Jamie’s life will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
