Jeffrey Allen Pope, 63, of Stony Point, N.C., died Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

He was born in Iredell County on January 30, 1960, to Hubbert Leo Pope and the late Mary Aileen Mayhew Pope.

Jeff had worked for CommScope for more than 20 years. He was very passionate about Civil War history and enjoyed participating in re-enactments with his best friend, David Jordan. Jeff also loved arrowhead hunting, hiking in the mountains, fishing, and hunting.

Survivors include his father, Hubbert Pope; two sons, Daniel Pope and Elijah Pope (Eli); a daughter, Rachael Cope; two grandsons, Benjamin and John Cope; and three brothers, Gary Pope, Rickie Pope and Timmy Pope (Tracy).

A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Presbyterian Church  Cemetery with Pastor James Lewis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
