Jeffrey Dalton Lentz, 62, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Jeffrey was born on March 16, 1960, in Iredell County to Jacob Dalton and Janine (Cashion) Lentz Jr.
Jeffrey graduated from South Iredell High School and was employed as a machinist. Later in life he enjoyed the hobby of woodworking, making wood logic puzzles and walking canes for friends and family.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Steve Stinson, in 1995; and his father, Jacob Dalton Lentz Jr. in 2013.
He is survived by his son, Ian Dalton Lentz of Rock Hill, S.C.; his grandchildren Maximus Lentz and Katherine Lentz of Rock Hill, S.C.; his mother, Janine Lentz of Troutman; his sisters, Marilyn (Dale) Bass of Troutman and Susan Stinson of Statesville; nieces and nephews, Christine (Allen) Neal of Cleveland, N.C., Matthew Stinson of Troutman, Andrew Stinson of Troutman and Erin Bass of High Point, N.C.; great nephews, Christopher Neal, Jaedon Neal, Keith Neal, and Kellan Neal, all of Cleveland, N.C.; and great grandniece, Nevaeh Neal of Cleveland, N.C.
Private graveside services will be at Stony Point Cemetery in Stony Point, N.C.. There will be no public visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association or foundation of your choice.
