Jimmie Fox, 82, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Regional Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. Jimmie was born March 21, 1941, to Hazel Fox in Rowan County.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his mother, Willie “Hazel” Fox Keller, and sister, Elaine Barker.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Peggy Jeanne Fox; children, Jimmy Eugene Fox; Joyce Campbell Manning (Marty); Rita Fox Burris (Joe); nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Herman Keller (Edith) and Richard Keller(Myrtle); and sister, Connie Crawford (Ricky).

Jimmie worked as a weaver at Carolina Mills for many years, enjoyed fishing, baseball, NASCAR, and listening to gospel music.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
