Johnnie Jackson Ziats, 75, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville. She was born on August 11, 1948, in Mooresville to the late John and Clara Howard Jackson.

Mrs. Ziats was a retired CNA at The Pines of Davidson after many years of service. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester E. Shoemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” “K-9” Ziats; daughters, Hope Coleman and Amanda Little; grandchildren, Holly Honeycutt, Autumn Chambers, Ean Coleman, Trey Honeycutt, and Lindsey Little; and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28115.
