Joseph Lee Brinson, 87, went to his heavenly reward on December 5, 2023. He had lived in Iredell County with his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Doug Bowman, for the last 6 months. He had spent the rest of his life in Wallace, N.C.

He was a member of Poston Baptist Church. Surviving him is his loving wife of 68 years, Glenda; a daughter, Michelle B. Bowman and husband Doug; a son, Bryan Lee Brinson of Thomasville; a granddaughter, Maggie Laura Bowman Hughes and husband Rick; and extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for December 12 at 11 a.m. at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace, N.C. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. the same day at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
