Kenneth Herman Sells, 85, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Ken was born on June 8, 1938, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Flake Sells and Mary Beaver Sells. He obtained his GED and worked as a shipping supervisor for Shuford Mills. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Sells; and two sisters, Pauline Sells Sherrill and Gilda Sells Setzer.

Ken is survived by his sisters, Elsie Speaks and Trudy Parker (Jerry); his brothers, Vincent Sells and Allen Sells (Lynda); and special nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Ken Sells will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Salisbury National Cemetery with Chaplain John Parks officiating.

Memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House of Iredell County.
