Ms. Laura Mae Clark, 90, of Troutman, N.C. was born on January 3, 1933, to the late Fred Stevenson and Lottie Mae Clark. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at her residence.
Laura loved spending time with her family and sewing. She was affectionately known as “Gin” by her family and friends. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon and treasurer of the Presbyterian Women before her health declined.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Stevenson Jr.; a son, Robert Clark; and great grandsons, Siquan Clarke and Kenyon Johnson.
Laura leaves to cherish the memories of her life two daughters, Reba Lazenby and Juanita Clark; three sons, Duke (Caroline) Clarke, Steven (Barbara) Clark and Fred (Junalyn) Clark; twenty grandchildren, Stanley (Felice) Clarke, Kena Clark, Lakeisha Clark, Marlin Clarke, Tamara (Sainuel) Johnson, Tamka (Darryl) Lindsey, Natasha (Mark) Nixon, Stephanie Clark, Falotta (Quan) McClelland, Measha (Rickey) Hamm, Bradley (Tanisha) Clark, Rekeil Clark, Michele (Miles) Walcott, Devante Clark, Tevin (Courtney) Clark, DeJu Clark, James Clark, and Steven Clark; two brothers, Robert (Diane) Stevenson and William Stevenson; sister, Carolyn Hodges; aunt, Emma Jean Huggins; two bonus children, Michael (Betty) Wasson and Shann (Boyd) Sawyer; thirty-three great grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Calvary Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m.
