Lewis Anthony Sherrill, 62, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away December 11, 2023, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born January 31, 1961, in Mooresville to Carolyn Sherrill Hunter and the late James Lewis Caldwell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Keno Wilson and brothers, Terry Caldwell and Darrell Caldwell.

Lewis was in maintenance as a forklift driver for Statesville Distribution. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and his greatest joy was spending time with his children, family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Sherrill Hunter; daughter, Tameca Graham (Rev. Dr. Quinton Graham); sons, Judah Africanus (Shomaneet), Anthony Sherrill, Randy Miller, and Detavaius Cortez Miller; sisters, Linda Caldwell Campbell (Anthony) of Surprise, Ariz., Davina Patterson, and Kathy Caldwell; brothers, Donald Caldwell of Salisbury, N.C., Belvin Sherrill (Aurelia) of Mooresville, James Loray Caldwell (Margaret) of Mooresville, Robert Milton Caldwell (Veronica) of Las Vegas, Nev.; special friend, Sally Dulin.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, December 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Quinton Graham officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Memorial Park.
